A gym always close to you

Fitstop is a fitness platform that gives members access to a whole network of gyms instead of a single location. Akkurat built the app that ties gyms, partnerships and members together, so people can train wherever they happen to be in the city.

The challenge

The idea only works if three sides stay in sync: the member choosing where to train, the partner gyms accepting them, and the platform managing plans and check-ins. Building a marketplace like that means getting real-time availability and access control right, so a member can walk into any partner gym and simply train.

What we built

• A member app to browse the gym network, pick a plan and find the nearest location to train.
• A partnership model connecting multiple independent gyms under one access system.
• Plan and access management so check-ins are validated cleanly at each location.

Technology & approach

We prototyped the member journey first — discover, subscribe, check in — then built it with a native-quality mobile experience and a back end that coordinates gyms, plans and access in real time.

The result

Fitstop launched on Google Play as a working network-access fitness app, letting members never skip a workout just because they are away from their usual gym. It shows how we turn a multi-sided marketplace idea into a product people use on the go.
